Volunteering

Nazareth Soccer Club offers successful programs thanks to dedicated volunteers.  Volunteers can perform a wide range of functions; it all depends on how involved you want to be.  The majority of NSC volunteers are coaches for our Micro and Classic Teams, but we also have dedicated individuals that help with field maintenance, special events, and in Board positions.

What do I need to be a coach or team manager?

Our governing body, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer (EPYS), has mandated that all coaches and team managers must fulfill the following requirements before they are allowed to coach. Please click the links throughout the information below to learn more about the trainings and clearances.

All coaches and Team Managers:

  • Each season, you must register as a coach or manager. The link to register will be given to you by the Classic or Micro Director. Failure to re-register each season will result in the inability to coach. You must register before you can upload your clearances or take the necessary trainings.
  • The PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, and FBI clearances must be renewed every 5 years.
  • The Heads Up, SafeSport, and Risk Management must be completed annually.
  • There is no charge for any of the training or clearances unless you need the FBI fingerprinting. NSC will reimburse you for the cost.
    To be reimbursed for FBI fingerprinting, please mail a copy of your receipt to:
    NSC Registrar, PO Box 614, Nazareth, PA 18064
  • Clearances/affidavits should be uploaded to your GotSport account. Specific instructions on using GotSport will be coming soon.

 

Volunteers who have lived in PA for 10+ years:

  • PA State Police – Access to Criminal History
  • PA Child Abuse History Check
  • FBI Affidavit of Compliance
  • CDC Heads Up Concussion Training
  • SafeSport Training
  • Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Risk Management Form

Volunteers who have NOT lived in PA for 10+ years:

  • PA State Police – Access to Criminal History
  • PA Child Abuse History Check
  • FBI Background Check – Fingerprints
  • CDC Heads Up Concussion Training
  • SafeSport Training
  • Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Risk Management Form
